CA1168 Grand Tour Model of the Temple of Castor and Pollux

Grand Tour 19th Century alabaster model of the Temple of Castor and Pollux in the Forum in Rome. Lovely coloured alabaster, looks more like a light sienna marble, on white alabaster base inscribed ‘TEMPLVM CASTORV POLLVOE’. Finely carved Corinthian columns and decoration to the frieze and architraves. Good condition for age, old repairs to columns.
