CA1177 Three Patinated Bronze Models of ‘L’Arc de Triomphe'

An impressive set of three Grand Tour 19th Century superbly cast and wonderfully detailed patinated bronze models of ‘L’Arc de Triomphe’. In three different sizes they form an instant collection. The actual arch was finally completed in 1836 under the rule of Louis Phillipe and was built to commemorate French soldiers that had died in the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. It became a highlight stop for individuals on the Grand Tour.
