Grand Tour Marble Model of the Tomb of Scipio

A favourite of the Grand Tour, and increasingly rare, 19th century model of the Tomb of Scipio after the original in the Vatican Museum, Rome. Nice example with removable lid to show compartments, to be used as a desk tidy or inkwell. Hand painted dedication on lid and front. Siena marble on a black marble base.
