French Empire Bronze and Ormolu Cachepot or Jardinieres

An interesting, rare, pair of early 19th Century French Empire patinated and gilt bronze, ormolu mounted flared rim cachepot or jardinieres. Patinated bronze background with classically inspired mounts depicting a griffin footed torchère and a victor's wreath with arrows. Set upon a square block base with an Empire style foliate decorated architrave. France, circa 1820.
