Pair of patinated bronze statues of Rousseau and Voltaire

Unusual pair of late 19th century patinated bronze statues of the 18th century French philosophers Jean-Jacques Rousseau and (François-Marie Arouet) Voltaire, after the originals by Jean-Claude Rosset (1706-1786). Full length figures, beautifully detailed, in resplendent 18th century costume set upon socle bases with bands of gilt bronze. French, circa 1890.
