Pair of Egyptian Revival bronzed Sphinx candlesticks

Attractive pair of late 19th Century Egyptian Revival bronze patinated spelter candlesticks. Beautiful fluted spreading stem surmounted by winged sphinx sitting on a classical shallow urn type base, after the antique. Black marble stepped circular bases. Very stylish examples of the Belle Epoque period. French, circa 1890.
