Grand Tour Library Busts of Antinous & Ariadne

Good sized, classic pair of late 19th Century dark patinated Grand Tour library busts of Dionysus (modeled on the Lansdowne Antinous) and Ariadne. Black marble socles banded by patinated bronze scenes from antiquity, after the original pairing by Leone Clerici in Rome in 1882. Italian, circa 1890.
