Small Grand Tour Cabinet Bronze of Homer

Classic 19th Century Grand Tour patinated bronze bust of the greatest ancient Greek poet, Homer, author of The Iliad and The Odyssey.
After the antique bust in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. Homers features are unknown but tradition describes him as a blind old man, an aged bard inspired by the gods. Mounted on a Serpentina di Monteferrato marble column base. Italy,circa 1860.
