CA0467 Grand Tour Gallio Antico Satyr's Head Oil Lamp

Rare, unusual, finely carved 19th century Italian Grand Tour Gallio Antico satyr's head oil library lamp, inspired by antique Roman originals. Characterful smiling foliate satyr's face for the body of the lamp with similar foliate designs to the underside and handle. Unusual in having a fine tall stem with a block base carved with classical cameo vignette scenes. Sitting on a black marble base.
