CA0260 Unusual Regency pot pourri candlesticks after designs by Cheney
Attractive unusual pair of early 19th century English Regency patinated and gilt bronze ormolu candlesticks with seemingly small pot pourri holders after designs by Cheney of London. Typical Regency style candle cups with engine turned band and floral rimmed bobeches sit upon a fret cut pot pourri style urn with shell decoration with a pine cone finial. Three zoomorphic monopodiae exotic bird legs on a lion footed triform base. Good quality, very attractive pair of candlesticks. English, circa 1815.
