Rare 19th century Italian Grand Tour archeological style Neo-Pompeian patinated bronze model of Roman floor standing oil lamp after the antique originals in the National Archaeological Museum, Naples. Finely cast and chased vase or urn shaped top on a slender reeded pillar shaft and stylised zoomorphic tripod base decorated with stylised foliage and paw feet. Free standing patinated bronze oil lamp with anthemion handle and figural finial twin spouts on a socle foot.
