CA0210 French Empire Love and Fidelity mantel clock

Early 19th century French Empire gilt bronze figural clock surmounted by a classical muse with a dove on her shoulder representing love and a dog at her side for fidelity. The base is adorned with an ormolu mount of Cupid resting in an elaborate garland. Eight day silk suspension movement. French, circa 1825.
