CA0175 Attractive pair of French Empire chenets

Interesting attractive pair of early 19th century French Empire gilt bronze chenets. Drum type top sections with central bacchanalian portrait reliefs sitting on block bases with mounts depicting Venus praising and chastising Amour, after models by Louis-Simon Boizot (1743-1809) created for the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres, porcelain factory. Nice examples. French, circa 1820.
