CA0158 Regency inkwell stand in the manner of Vulliamy
Good example of a 19th century English Regency patinated bronze inkstand in the form of a Roman bath with a central Medusa head mask and two classical ring style handles on each side very much in the manner of Benjamin Vulliamy (1791-1871). Well cast paw feet and platform base with recessed pen holders. Original lid with hexagonal finial enclosing an interior divided into three sections with replacement ink wells and period pounce pot. English, circa 1820.
