Superb late 19th Century well cast and finely chased Grand Tour Neapolitan verdigris bronze of Silenus wrestling a serpent. Base signed 'M. Amodio N.' for bronzier Michele Amodio, 'N' being an abbreviation for Napoli. Amodio is recorded as active between 1850-1890. After the antique. Circa 1860.
