CA1053 Grand Tour Marble Statue of Paris

Rare good quality mid 19th Century Grand Tour carved marble library model of the Judgement of Paris. Probably based on Jean-Baptiste Frederic Desmarais depiction 'Le Berger Paris' painted in 1787. Similarities to the depictions of Prince Paris with the apple by Bissen and Canova. French or Italian, circa 1850.
