Fine and rare pair of early 19th century French Empire patinated bronze group statues mounted on Marmo Rosso plinths with patinated bronze bases. A classic pairing designed to sit either side of your mantel shelf or commode. Super quality castings. Both bronzes are based on paintings of classical lovers: Psyche Receiving Cupid's First Kiss (1798) by François Gérard and Daphnis and Chloé (1817) by Louis Hersent.
