CA0781 Ancient Egyptian Amulet of Isis

Tiny, but beautifully modelled, ancient Egyptian faience funerary amulet of the goddess Isis. Pale green colour faience, typical walking pose. Superb detail for the size, very skillfully done. These amulets were stitched into the funerary bindings of a mummified person via the suspension loop to the back central pillar of the amulet. Acquired from a leading London dealer in 1990s. Late period 600-300BC.
