CA0685 Unusual Regency Egyptian Revival candlestick

An unusual example of an early 19th century English Regency Egyptian Revival patinated and gilt bronze ormolu single window or alcove candlestick. The well modelled Egyptian figure holds a finely cast and chased candle cup with typical period designs on his knee. Presented on the original white marble block base. English, circa 1820.
